Found and lost

Carefully packed away
and squeezed between
box number twelve
labeled "Sports stuff"
and box number seventeen
"Items of high sentimental value"
by chance I found that missing
thoughtfulness of yours.

It is now broken and useless,
so I hope you don't mind me
taking out the garbage for you.
I will try to have it recycled.
